Drosera capensis - 'Cape Sundew'
Regular price$20.00
/
Drosera capensis, the Cape Sundew, is one of the easiest sundews to grow. It produces sticky, dew-covered leaves that catch small insects such as gnats, fruit flies, and mosquitoes.
Care: Use only distilled, reverse-osmosis, or rain water. Keep the media consistently moist to wet, often by standing the pot in a shallow tray of water. Grow in very bright light with direct sun or strong grow lights for best color and growth.
Soil: Use nutrient-poor carnivorous plant media, such as peat-based media with perlite or sand. Do not use regular potting soil or fertilizer.
Pet safety: Sundews are generally considered non-toxic, but they should not be eaten or handled excessively.
