Ludisia discolor, commonly called Jewel Orchid, is grown for its dark, velvety foliage with fine contrasting veins. Unlike many orchids, it is usually grown in a terrestrial, moisture-retentive but airy mix rather than mounted or grown bare-root.

Care: Grow in low to medium indirect light. Keep the potting mix lightly and evenly moist, but not soggy. Jewel orchids appreciate higher humidity and stable indoor temperatures.
